Revision - its important |
Revision is bringing the information you've learnt together and refreshing it in your mind. Why revise? If you revise throughout the year, information stays fresh in your mind and by the time exams come along you'll have a much better understanding of what work you've done during the year. New study seems to show that adding in new facts when you revise helps the information stick in your brain more. Use a separate folder for putting revision in so it doesn't get mixed up with course work or other set work for teachers. Write a timetable to help you plan what to revise when. Start this in the beginning of the term - plan out sessions to be spent going over older work. Revision ideas and hints
By revising in advance you'll be more familiar with work when it comes to the final revision for exams. This makes them less stressful, will increase your confidence and boost your results. By spotting areas you're weak in you'll be able to get extra help and work harder on those bits.
